MT Case 1 KK
Presenting concern:
This patient presented to us in 2017, complaining of worn upper front incisors, that felt very thin. Her dentist had voiced concerns about the severity of tooth wear. The patient had a history of breaking restorations, anxiety, bruxism and wore a mouthguard every night.
Treatment done:
The patient’s teeth were comprehensively evaluated and it was decided that her bite needed to be ‘opened’ in order to provide space for her crowns. In addition, she needed crowns on several other teeth that were worn. A full mouth of all-ceramic crowns were inserted.
Treatment outcome:
The patient was very happy with her treatment. She felt comfortable eating again and felt reassured knowing that her teeth were now protected with ceramic crowns She cannot stop smiling and poses for selfies very often. Her quality of life has improved dramatically.
