What does accreditation mean? Is your practice accredited?
Our practice is QIP accredited. This means we follow the highest standards of infection control and safety procedures.
Practices must meet the first six of the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards.
Once the practice has completed all the required documentation, they are assessed by an independent accreditation agency who awards the accreditation.
How experienced is Dr Kosalram?
Dr Kosalram graduated in 2000 and received her Doctorate in Prosthodontics at the University of Sydney in 2013. She has over 20 years of experience as a clinician.
Over the last decade, she has treated several complex cases and established herself as a trusted Prosthodontist in Melbourne. She is often contacted by her colleagues and dental specialists to provide opinions on complex dental cases.
She was awarded a Fellowship of the International Team for Implantology, directs the ITI Melbourne Inner East study club and has been appointed Victorian ITI education delegate. She continues to actively lecture and conduct workshops on fixed prosthodontics, implantology and cosmetic/aesthetic dentistry.
Through her continued work, Kirthi hopes to make a difference to the lives of patients. Kirthi is a keen supporter of the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and endeavours to rehabilitate the oral health of patients in need of such care.
Do I have to be referred by my dentist or can I make an appointment?
Many of our patients are referred to us by their dentists in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne and other surrounding areas. However, we also have patients who contact us directly without being referred. You are most welcome to make direct contact with the Melbourne East Prosthodontics team if you prefer. In addition, patients are also invited to contact us for an expert second opinion, should they require it.
Do you offer clinical specialties that other dentists in Kew don’t offer?
We offer our patients comprehensive assessments, planning, implementation and follow-up of implant, cosmetic dental treatments and rehabilitations – all under the care of a registered Specialist Prosthodontist.
In addition, we maintain close associations with specialist surgical and periodontal practices with whom we have established quick and fast-tracked workflows.
