PD Case 1 CC
Presenting concern:
This patient presented to us complaining of gaps in her teeth and that her teeth “looked horrible”. She was very active socially but never smiled and was embarrassed by her teeth. She wanted her teeth to be restored and the missing units replaced so that she would be able to smile again.
Treatment done:
The patient not only had poor dentition but also had multiple missing upper back teeth. She was not a candidate for implants due to lack of bone in her jaws. She was provided with of an upper removable chrome partial denture to replace the missing units and crowns to close the spaces between her upper front teeth.
Treatment outcome:
The patient is very happy with the outcome of her treatment. She has reported smiling very often and being very happy. She is surprised at her ‘denture wearing abilities’ and cannot stop smiling at people!
