B Case 3 SR

Presenting concern:
This patient presented with complaints of missing and loose teeth in the lower jaw. She wanted a fixed replacement. This patient was not a candidate for implants as she did not have adequate bone. She requested to have tooth-supported bridges to replace the missing and loose teeth.

Treatment done:
The patient’s gingival health was stabilised. Following this, her lower front teeth, which were extremely loose were extracted. She had her lower teeth restored with new bridges and crowns. Her dentition was completely rehabilitated and her chewing plane levelled to facilitate function.

The outcome:
The patient was extremely happy with the appearance, function, shape and form of her teeth. She can now chew comfortably and does not lisp. Her quality of life has improved tremendously. She looks forward to having her upper teeth rehabilitated in future.
