B Case 1 GS

Presenting concern:
This patient presented with an old ceramic bridge that was too long and required the supporting teeth to be root canal treated. The central incisor on the left side adjacent to the bridge was discoloured and did not match the length and appearance of the bridge.

Treatment done:
Endodontic treatment was performed on the supporting teeth. The existing bridge was replaced with a new 3-unit bridge and the upper left central incisor restored with a crown to match the shade and appearance of the new bridge. The bridge was made much shorter in accordance with the patients wishes.

Treatment outcome:
The patient was “very very happy” with the outcome of his treatment. His bridge colour and length are in harmony with the colour of his skin and eyes.
